Lu Da Gun is a classic traditional northern snack, mainly popular in Beijing, Tianjin and other places. Its name comes from the way the glutinous rice balls roll in the soybean flour during the production process, as if a donkey is rolling on the ground, symbolizing the scene of the earth awakening and the revival of all things in the sting season, hence the name. The outer layer of the donkey rolling is wrapped in fragrant soybean flour, and the inner filling is sweet red bean paste, which is soft and glutinous andsweet, and is deeply loved by people.
